WAUSM students are eligible to complete clinical clerkships, pursue residency training in the US, and sit for the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 1, 2, and 3 exams. Of note, the University
boasts a 100% first-time pass rate on Step 1 – a clear testament to the strength of WAUSM’s academic model.
70% of WAUSM’s APMD is US-based. You’ll begin the Pathway at one of WAUSM’s
US-based partner universities, continue with the medical sciences portion of the MD Program at our pre-clerkship campus in Freeport, Grand Bahama, and complete your clinical training in the US at a WAUSM partner hospital.
WAUSM is an international medical school modeled on US standards. Its accrediting body, the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and Other Health Professions (CAAM-HP), applies rigorous
standards recognized as equivalent to those in the United States. This accreditation ensures that WAUSM students graduate from a fully accredited medical school.
With a 7:1 student-to-faculty ratio, personalized learning and support are a top priority. The active, flipped classroom MD Program is designed to create successful physicians, complemented by a US-based clerkship program at affiliated partner hospitals.
WAUSM’s APMD gives you clinical experience at US partner hospitals, boosting your chances of a preferred residency match and a successful medical career in the United States.
Accelerate your journey by 2 to 3 years, save up to 20% of educational costs, and enter the workforce sooner.
